Tuition-free trades training to be available in Kelowna

Share

The Your Place Program will be holding an information session for women in Kelowna and surrounding communities who are interested in tuition-free skilled trades training and employment opportunities on the LNG Canada project.

The Your Place program was created by LNG Canada and their primary contractor, JGC Fluor in June of this year. Its purpose is to help women build a career in the trades while helping to build the LNG Canada facility.

According to LNG Canada, the Okanagan is likely to be a flight-hub for the project once construction ramps up, and they’re hoping to give jobs to women in Kelowna and throughout the Okanagan.
