Community Notification: Flaring Reduction

Following the successful introduction of refrigerant to the LNG Canada facility in recent days, flaring has been reduced to a small pilot light. As a reminder, the size of our flare will regularly increase and decrease over our two-year commissioning program. This is a normal part of the commissioning process as we advance towards delivering Canada’s first LNG export facility. We will maintain a low flare for the coming period and will update the community and the BC Energy Regulator when changes are to occur.
