A thorough review of potential project impacts

LNG Canada’s proposed LNG export project will go through a comprehensive regulatory review process that meets both B.C. provincial requirements and Canadian federal requirements. The project will require three major regulatory approvals, including:

  • LNG facility, marine terminal and storage Environmental Assessment
  • National Energy Board (NEB) Export Licence (approved February 2013)
  • B.C. Oil and Gas Commission LNG Facility Permit

LNG Canada is committed to consulting with First Nations and local communities affected by the project and providing opportunities for input and comment; to mitigate potential effects associated with the project; and to work collaboratively to ensure benefits from the project accrue to the communities in which we operate.

LNG Canada will make every effort to limit the impact of construction and operations on the natural environment, with the goal of becoming one of the leading LNG developers in Canada.
